1 in 100: Growing up with Congenital Heart Disease Symposium
Register to attend the no-cost symposium at 8 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Saturday, June 8, 2019, in the Classroom Wing on the UMMC Jackson campus. Please park in Garage A. A complimentary lunch will be provided.
We look forward to an in-depth discussion of the challenges of growing up with congenital heart disease and the importance of lifelong care for these very special hearts. Topics will include learning about your heart, pregnancy/family planning, transitioning from pediatric to adult doctors and what types of exercise you can do.
The event will also include a tour of the Heart Center, the sharing of information about insurance coverage, an Echocardiogram demonstration, and the opportunity to meet and interact with your doctors.
This free patient and family symposium is presented by University Heart and Children’s of Mississippi Heart Center. Call (601) 984-4567 or email ttemple@umc.edu for more information.
